Digital Media Training Initiative

Áras Inis Gluaire are running a series of part-time introductory and professional level training courses in the digital media sector as part of Tógra na Meáin, the North West Mayo Digital Media Initiative. Tógra na Meáin is a partnership between Áras Inis Gluaire and Mayo Ideas Lab and is receiving funding from the Fiontar Chomhraic Teo enterprise fund.

As part of Tógra na Meáin, Aras Inis Gluaire, has linked up with the Greasán na Meán Skillnet and the CISNET Creative Industries Network, to host a series of training workshops in the following areas:

· Introduction to Animation

· Setting up a Production Company

· Advanced Camera Skills

· Apple Certified Final Cut Pro

· Training in 21 st Century Media

· Web TV for Promotion

· Interviewing for Radio

· Microphones and Sound Recording for Radio

· Digital Archiving Techniques

· Proposal Writing – TV / Radio / Online

· Creative Thinking / Idea Generation

· How to write a novel in a year

· Creating iphone / android apps
